Active Ingredient(s):
200g/Lbromoxynil(present as the n-octanoyl ester)
200g/LMCPA(present as the iso-octyl ester)

Overview Selective pre-emergence herbicide for control of broadleaf weeds in wheat, barley, oats & linseed.
General Instructions Equipment
- Apply using well maintained and accurately calibrated spray equipment.
- Cleaning - flush spray equipment thoroughly with clean water after use. If equipment used to apply Bromicide MA is to be used to apply other chemicals to sensitive crops, it must be thoroughly decontaminated using procedures recommended for phenoxy herbicides.

Shelf Life
When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for 2 years from the date of manufacture. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of any product that is older than this.

Mixing
Add the required amount of Bromicide MA to the half-filled spray tank. Add the remainder of the water and agitate thoroughly while mixing, spraying, and when restarting spraying after a stoppage.

Compatibility
- This product is physically compatible with most commonly used agricultural pesticides.
- Do not mix concentrates together.
- Do not add wetting agents or surfactants.
- Do not keep mixtures overnight.
- Test "combinations" by making up a small quantity of the proposed mixture. Mix products separately into the water. After mixing take a sample in a glass jar. Observe 2 hours later for any signs of incompatibility which may include physical separation, settling, flocculation, and oiling out.

Caution
Applications made in the later recommended stages of growth or when plants are growing under stress may result in some tip scorch to cereal crops and leaf scorch to linseed. Do not spray in drought conditions. Do not spray when rain is likely to fall within three hours of spraying.

Application
Bromicide MA acts best on weeds that are actively growing. Young soft plants are more susceptible than older hardened weeds, or those hardened by dry climatic conditions. Healthy vigorous crops assist weed control through competition for light, moisture and nutrients. Even coverage of the weed foliage is important because Bromicide MA is a selective herbicide which works primarily by contact action.
Ground: Apply through any standard crop sprayer calibrated to give even coverage from correct boom height. Use a spray volume of 60-250 litres of water per hectare. Use the higher rate when crop or weeds are dense. Low spray volumes should be achieved by changing nozzles, not by increasing ground speed. Use a minimum spray pressure of 200kPa. Ideally droplets should be in the 200-300 micrometre range.
Aerial: (Spring sown wheat, barley and oats only). Use 2 litres in 100 litres of water per hectare. Consider weather conditions, especially wind. Use of a drift control agent and half overlap spraying technique is recommended. Do not apply through ULV equipment (i.e applying less than 6 litres of water per hectare).

First Aid
If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. For advice, contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If splashed in eyes, wash out immediately with water. If inhaled, move the victim to fresh air immediately. Begin artificial respiration if breathing has stopped.

Restraints DO NOT spray if weeds are wilted by dry or cold weather or if crops are at a susceptible stage, or if rain is likely within 4 hours.
DO NOT apply to diseased or frost affected turf or if frosts are imminent.
Safety Directions - Avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of spray mist.
- When mixing or applying wear waterproof gloves, eye protection, boots and overalls. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and face thoroughly before meals and after work.
Storage - Store in original container, tightly closed and in a locked, dry, cool area away from sources of ignition and foodstuffs. Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals. Do not store with Class 1, 2, 3.2, 4 or 5 substances.
- Stores containing 100 litres are subject to secondary containment and signage, and more than 100L require emergency response plans.
- Stores containing 500L of Bromicide MA must have at least 2 fire extinguishers.
Disposal - Triple rinse empty container and add rinsate to the spray tank. Crush and bury in a suitable landfill.
- Dispose of product only by using according to the label or at an approved landfill. Do not burn.
Spillage: Wear appropriate protective clothing. Extinguish all ignition sources, exclude all bystanders from the vicinity of the spill, and prevent material from entering waterways or coming into contact with class 1, 2, 3.2, 4 and 5 substances. Contain liquid spills and absorb with inert material and place in waste containers. Wash area with water and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of waste safely in an approved landfill.
Precautions Flammable
Warning ? combustible liquid. Keep away from sources of ignition.

Toxicity
- Toxic - may cause liver damage from repeated oral exposure.
- Harmful - may be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. May cause skin and eye irritation and sensitisation from prolonged skin contact. May cause reproductive damage from repeated oral exposure.

Ecotoxic
- Very toxic to fish with long-lasting effects. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container. Very toxic to the soil environment. Toxic to terrestrial vertebrates and terrestrial invertebrates.
- Beware: Spray drift hazard. Apply this product carefully. Spray drift may cause serious damage to other desirable plants. Do not allow drift to occur outside the target area.
- Selective herbicide - very toxic to some plant species.
